He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lawrence and Margaret Knox (Miller); and his brother Terry Knox. He is survived by: his wife Linda C. Layendecker of Springfield; his children, Brent Knox (Jeralyn) of Columbia, IL, Leslie Seck (Andy) of Springfield, Maureen Knox (Lee Heaton) of Aurora, IL, Matt Drone (Kristin Washburn) of Park Ridge, IL, Ryan Knox (Jamie Amorella) of Corinth, TX and Ben Knox of Los Angeles, CA; his grandchildren, Liam, Aidan, Caitlyn, Brenna, Keira Knox, Kayla, Grace Seck, Conner, Megan, Molly Arnold, Jacob, Hannah and Joshua Drone; and his sister Pat Ober of Ballwin, MO. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to support Lewy Body Dementia Programs at Rush University Medical Center.
