With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Reidy of Springfield, Illinois, born in Bloomington, Illinois, who passed away on April 21, 2024 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Michael departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Michael may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear and the legacy Michael leaves behind.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John E. "Jack" Reidy and Suzanne "Sue" Reidy (Costigan); and his granddaughter Harper Elizabeth Reidy. He is survived by : his siblings, Joan Hays (Robert) of Kentland, Molly Wieting (Michael) of Bloomington and John Reidy (Judy) of Houston, Texas..

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home (1800 Eastland Dr, Bloomington, IL 61704). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (527 W Jackson St, Bloomington, IL 61701).

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic School of Bloomington, Illinois or Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.).
