He is survived by: his wife Janice Feld; his children, Michael Slater, Jr. (Lisa) of Sherman, William Scott Slater of Sherman, Julia Ford (Christopher) of Springfield and Kimberly Garner (Mathew) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Tyler Slater (Kayla), Tori Slater, Madison Slater, Ronte'Harris, Melisa Rock (Josh), Kelli Anderson, Andrew Slater (Ceelyn), Levi Slater, Alaina Ford, Hunter Garner and Iris Garner; his great grandchildren, Leo, Lainey, Caius, Calina, Charlotte Slater, Landon Tribble, Kaydence Mesecher and Emma Rock; his sister Shirley Copeland of Springfield; his brother-in-law Marvin Sanders (LoisAnne) of Chatham; and his brothers, Phil Slater (Pam) of Rochester and James Slater (Jackie) of Grafton, IL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
