He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer Horton and Helen Horton (Lucas). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Rotherham; his sons, Brett Horton (Beth) of Dahinda, IL, Scott Horton (Melissa) of Chatham, IL, Robert Horton (Nichole) of Jacksonville, FL and Patrick Horton (Jennifer) of Pleasant Plains, IL; and his sister Linda Horton of Arizona. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (524 E Lawrence Ave, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
