It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Patricia Ann Cox of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles A. DeCroix and Helen DeCroix (Skoda); her spouse Gale B. "Jim" Cox, Jr.; and her brother Charles J. DeCroix. She is survived by: her sons, David (Joyce), Steve (Pam) and Michael (Heather); her grandchildren, Samantha of St. Louis, MO, Taylor of St. Louis, MO, Robert of St. Louis, MO, Danielle of St. Louis, MO, Emilee of St. Louis, MO and Nicole of St. Louis, MO; and her sister Carol Burnett (Gene) of Columbia, IL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Butler Funeral Home - Springfield (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church (2000 E Sangamon Ave, Springfield, IL 62702).
