Patricia C. Ashton Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia C. Ashton of Springfield, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 22, 2025 at the age of 76. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Patricia C. Ashton to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. Coffey and Vivian M. Coffey (Smith); her husband James "Jimbo" Ashton; her siblings, Judith Kunz and William N. Coffey; and her niece Jennifer Ryan.
She is survived by: her stepson Scott Ashton of Springfield, IL; her grandson Zachary Ashton (Lindsey) of Owensboro, KY; her great grandchildren, Rory Ashton, Millie-Kate James Ashton and Caroline Leppke; her sister Becky Honigman (Don) of Rochester, IL; her sister-in-law Rita Coffey of Springfield, IL; her brothers, Joseph Coffey of Rochester, IL and Thomas Coffey (Janine) of Petersburg, IL; and her siblings' children, Cathy Parker (Caleb), Laura Johnson (Dick), Sarah Kunz (Winnie), Bill Coffey (Teena), Bob Liu-Coffey (Neal), James Myers (Catey) and Joseph Coffey (Alisa). She is also survived by several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 11:30 AM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League or to Rochester First Baptist Church.
