He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Alexander and Eva Larue Smith (Colburn); his wife Barbara Booker; his son Carl G. Smith; and his siblings, Alfred, Ethel, Frances, Lewis, Charlie, Carl, Jim, Ed, Edna and Grace.
He is survived by: his daughter Becky Rokita; his grandchildren, Braden, Callie, Brant Rokita and Leslie Smith; and his great grandchild Waylon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a military organization of the donor's choice.
