She was predeceased by: her parents, Gene Smith and Audrey Bryson; her husband John Thomas Cook; her brothers, Thomas Canavan and Willis Ray; and her grandson Joshua Thomas Knoles.
She is survived by: her children, John E. Cook of Springfield, IL, Ron E. Cook of Springfield, IL, Audrey Schwartz of Salisbury, Rose Woodard of Springfield and Dorothy Noble of Salisbury; and her siblings, Gene Smith, Roger Smith, Margaret Lindsay, Charlette Fortner, Jackie Ray, Eddie Ray and Linda Cleghorn. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Salisbury Christian Church.
