Phillip James Followell Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Phillip James Followell of Springfield, Illinois. Phillip, born on October 10, 1956, passed away on September 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Genevieve Followell and William Followell; his siblings, William "Butchy", James Fred and Colleen Marie Followell; and his uncles, Fred Tinsley and James Durkin.

He is survived by: his brother Peter Followell; his daughter Amy LeVeque (Charles Hill); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Rathbone (Dylan), Theon "Alex" LeVeque and Kyleigh LeVeque; and his great grandchildren, Julia, Noah, Jonah and Lilah Rathbone. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Brooklyn Tavern (1901 S 15th St, Springfield, IL 62703).
