It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phyllis June Hunsaker of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert M. Wagner-Frost and Olive Wagner-Frost; her husband Joseph Hunsaker (Jay); and her brother-in-law Jimmie Hunsaker. She is survived by: her children, Karen Embry and Timothy Hunsaker; her brother Edward Frost; her sister-in-law Margaret Frost; her grandchildren, Katie Embry (Michael) of Nantucket, MA and Daniel Embry (Sarah) of Springfield, IL; her great grandchild Nicholas Sirtout of Springfield, IL; her daughter Pamela Yancey-Redmond (David) of Springfield, IL; and her sister-in-law Annette Hunsaker. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Cotton Hill United Methodist Church (5931 N Cotton Hill Rd, Springfield, IL 62712). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cotton Hill United Methodist Church.
