It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rae Estelle Ballinger of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on February 2, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Sylvia and Esther Sylvia (Bird); her sisters, Joyce Fernandes and Catherine Cayer; and her sister-in-law Charlene Winchester.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa "Terri" Wheeler of Springfield, Ann Stone (Eric Bierman) of Springfield, Kathleen Schoenwetter (Kevin) of LeRoy and Stephen Ballinger (Cheryl) of Pleasant Plains; her grandchildren, Shawn Hauck (Jen), Valerie Kochanowski, Ernie Stone (Ali), David Schoenwetter (Jodie Wellman), Michelle Perry, Jennifer Schoenwetter, Robert Ballinger (Allie) and Ryan Ballinger (Shaughn Cummings); and her great grandchildren, Carter, Amara, Eliana, Nathan, Aletheia, Azariah, Ainesis, Eva, Wesley, Connor, Zoey, Edith and Estelle. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
