He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Williams and Thelma Holland Williams Cashion; his son Leonard Avery III; and his siblings, Donna Holland, Sandra Williams Bradley, Marie Howarth, Kentlee Cashion, Herman Ike Williams and Ronnie Williams.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Nichols of Missouri, Nina of Springfield and Kayla Avery of Springfield; his grandchild L. J. Avery; his sisters, Norma Jean Gates of Taylorville, Susie Fishel of Springfield, Kenna Cashion of Holcomb, MO and Angela Beville of Clarkton, MO; his half-brother Charlie Cashion of Missouri; his nephews, Joshua Williams and Adam Fishel; and his niece Kayla Williams. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews, including his caregivers.
