We are sad to announce that, on January 7, 2023, at the age of 96, Raymond J. Brunner of Springfield, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Brunner and Alma Kunkel Brunner; and his son Gary M. Brunner. He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean; his daughters, Karen M. Hafel (Thomas) of Springfield, Sandra K. Verhasselt (Daniel) of Johnston, IA, Susan L. Baatz (Barry) of Springfield and Carol A. Parker (John "Jay") of Pewee Valley, KY; and his siblings, Betty Primm (David) of Athens, Joann Barnes of Foristell, MO and John Brunner of Springfield. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Quincy Veterans Home.
