He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Gillespie and Nancy Gillespie (Gilson). He is survived by: his wife Diana Call; and his siblings, Robert Gillespie (Laura) of Springfield, Ray Gillespie (Shelli) of Springfield, Rich Gillespie (Patti) of Mineral, VA, Rhonda Zimmerman (Jim) of Port Charlotte, FL, Rebecca Johnson (Andy) of Virden and Rita Nutaut of Springfield. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
