He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard K. Allender and Patricia J. Allender (Pefferle); and his daughter Becky Austwick. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindi" Allender of Springfield; his children, Keri Mayfield (John) of Springfield and Richard "Rick" Allender III (Jennifer) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Spencer Allender (Lily), Landon Allender, Preston Allender, Hannah McCaffrey (Brandon), Claire Schuette (Jacob) and Sophia Mayfield; his great grandchildren, Grayson and Mia Schuette; and his siblings, McCaffrey, Joyce Catron (Don) of Auburn, Leslie Pugh, Michael Connolley of Springfield and John Connolley (Mel) of Petersburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
