It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard James Freitag of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Freitag and Mildred Freitag (Winchester). He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Jean Ealey; his children, Aaron Freitag (Sara) of Lincoln and Dawn Moushon; and his grandchildren, Riley, Cooper Freitag, Bobby and Courtney Williams. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
