Richard Zanetello Obituary
We announce the death of Richard Zanetello of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 93. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Zanetello and Gertrude Zanetello (Kennedy); his grandsons, Stephen and Anthony McCloughan; his son-in-law Michael McCloughan; and his siblings, Kay Grabbe, Pete and Henry Zanetello.
He is survived by: his daughters, Maria McCloughan of Riverton, Ramona Martinez of Springfield, Regina Wilson (Glenn) of Springfield and Angela Cooper (Mark) of Joliet. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Staab Funeral Home (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Korean War Veterans Association, American Legion Post 32, or VFW Lodge Post 10302.
