He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert, II and Carolyn Ritz (Drake); and his sister Helen Kristine Ritz. He is survived by: his foster children, Rose and Joe Eckert; and his sisters, Carolyn "Cookie" Kienzler (Ray), Elizabeth "Betsy" Ellen Ritz-Frith and Eleanor Eckert (E. Joseph). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
