With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert W. Sokolis Jr. of Springfield, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 28, 2026 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Robert had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Robert may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert W. Sokolis, and Wanda R. Sokolis, Sr. (Long); his wife Debra Brown; his sons, Jon Robert Sokolis (Courtney) of High Ridge, MO and Kyle Emerson Sokolis (Susannah) of Fredericksburg, VA; his grandchildren, Jordan Nicole Huggins (William), Conner James Sokolis and Abbigail Rose Sokolis; his great grandchild Bentley William Huggins; and his sister Patti Jonette Lanane (Jeff) of Tucson, AZ. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
