With sadness, we share the passing of Robert E. Wagner of Springfield, Illinois. Robert, born on June 18, 1952, passed away on June 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Robert for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Wagner and Ruth F. Wagner (Phalen); his former wife Kathleen A. Peterson; his wife Linda Goetz; and his sister Marilyn Schroeder.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth K. Wagner of Seattle, WA and Alison R. Wagner of Oak Park, IL; and his brother Jay Wagner (Judy) of Buckeye, AZ. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Area Arts Council.
