She was predeceased by: her mother Barbara Freitag (Schwartz); and her husband Michael Simpson. She is survived by: her father Richard Freitag of Springfield; her sons, Landon Pillsbury of Colorado Springs, Jared Streder (Jasmyn McKenna) of Springfield and Shane Cervantes (Robert) of Springfield; her granddaughter Nichole Petrea; her brother Howard Freitag (Randee) of Sedona, Arizona; and her niece Rhiannon Freitag.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the Aqua Sports Club (1 Club Area, Springfield, IL 62712).
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Animal Protective League.
