She was predeceased by: her father Robert Goodwater; her stepfather Alfred Vaniter; and her pet Lollie. She is survived by: her mother Rhoda Goodwater (Striplin); her close friend Richard Ferguson; her daughters, Rachel McClanahan-Cronister (Tyler) of Webster Groves and Sarah McClanahan of Gillespie, Illinois; her stepdaughter Danyel Robins (Phil) of Chillicothe, Illinois; her sisters, LeAnn Wilson (Greg) of Litchfield, Dawn McDaniels (JJ) of Gillespie and Michelle Whaley (Chad) of Carlinville, Illinois; her grandchildren, Freya, Nora and Everette Robins; and her pets, Pearl, Rocky, Violet, Sunflower and Harleigh. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
A memorial gathering was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Butler Funeral Home-Springfield (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
