He is survived by: his wife Jackie; his children, Robert C. Smith, Jill M. Smith Giddings and Danny L. Bess; his grandson Tyler Giddings; his sister Barb George; his close friend Karen Knudsen; and his pet Nova. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
