She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Curtis and Dorothy Curtis; and her siblings, Roy Jr., Robert, James, Harry Curtis, Juanita Stowe and Shirley Cox.

She is survived by: her daughter Deidre M. Dawson; her granddaughter Dr. Nalo Thomas Mitchell (Pastor Darrell Mitchell); her great grandchildren, Kaia Griffin, Nakia Griffin and Collin Christopher Curtis Skinner; her great great grandchild Aspen Rose; and her brothers, Theodore Curtis Sr. and Larry Curtis Sr.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
