With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samuel J. Pitt Sr. of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on April 2, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard W. Pitt, and Mary Rozena Pitt, Sr. (Burger). He is survived by: his wife Judith Moore of Springfield; his children, Elaine Bradley (Larry) of Springfield and Sam Pitt, Jr. (Laura-Lee) of Chandler, AZ; his granddaughters, Emily Carmouche (Eric), Allison Avery (Kyle) and Chelsea Pitt; his stepgrandchildren, Christina Harris (Johnny), Angy Price (Adrian) and Lara Isaacs (Brad); and his stepgreat-granddaughters, Lindsay Nicole Allan and Hannah Reichert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League or the Alzheimer's Association.
