With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Shirley T. Gipson of Springfield, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Roach and Pauline Crawford Roach; her former husband George Remy Dumonceaux, Jr.; her husband Gerald D. Gipson; and her siblings, Stanley Roach, Carl Roach, James Roach, Ralph Roach, Jr. and Anna Faye Hicks.

She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Sullivan (Joseph) of Springfield, Lorie Holmes (AJ Woodson) of Springfield and Larry Riley (Lisa) of Rochester; her grandchildren, Keith Covington, Clinton Holmes (Marylu), Paige Richmond (Courtney), Jared Riley (Lillian Coady) and Jordan Knighton (Trey); and her sisters, Carolyn Thomas (Ronnie) of Bowling Green and Shelva Jean Long of Tennessee. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
