It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen D. Shelton of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on March 9, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Shelton and Corinne Shelton (Tayon); and his brother Edward Dark. He is survived by: his wife Deborah J. Shelton; his sons, Michael Shelton (Victoria) of Buda, TX and Gregory Shelton (Lisa) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Landon, Levi, Cecil Jackson, Goldie Mae and Madeline; and his sister Tammy Jennings (Joe) of Pittsfield, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
