He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hemphill and Grace Hemphill; and his brothers, Ronald "Red", Lary "Sam" and Paul.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Hemphill of Springfield; his children, Staci Crane of Springfield and Joseph Crane (Amanda) of Quincy, IL.; his grandsons, Isaac and Jonah Crane; his brother Clint Hemphill; his mother-in-law Marilyn Justus; and his sisters-in-law, Rebecca Fortney of Ponca City, OK, Cynthia Dixie (Bill) of Conyers, GA and Kim Campbell (Chris) of Quincy, IL.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM and at 11:30 PM.
