It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Steven Wayne Leach of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Leach and Alice Mae Leach (Strode); and his children, Scott Leach and Laurie Farmer. He is survived by : his wife Nancy Leach of Springfield; his daughter Leslie Preuss (John); and his grandchildren, Jack Preuss, Alice and Maryn Farmer.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Rochester United Methodist Church (555 S Walnut St, Rochester, IL 62563). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials may be made to the Rochester Historical Preservation Society.

I will always remember his easy-going attitude and friendship. I know he was a mentor to many in the Springfield office. I know he will missed.
