With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Suezella Johnson of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on May 2, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Coolidge Johnson; her siblings, Oleva Rice, Sr. (Dale) and Joyce Gillis; her close friend Leonia Cole; and her pet Snoop.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carla L. of San Diego and Claudia G. of Springfield, Illinois; her niece Geneva "Aunt Sissy" Gaither (Mike); her nephew Ron Johnson (Esther); and her dear Maybelline. She is also survived by extended family, friends, colleagues, God grandchildren.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family kindly requests the donations be made to Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Memory of Suezella Johnson.
