He was predeceased by: his father Girard "Morey" Covington; his son Terry Covington (Sarah); and his brothers, Jerry and Keith Covington. He is survived by: his mother Janet Haynes of Springfield; his wife Carla Covington of Springfield; his children, Taija Charnley (Jordan) of Springfield and Trae Covington (Marguerite) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Nova, Quinn, Gwendolyn and Eleanor; and his brother Michael Covington of Springfield. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
