He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Bergschneider and Sarah Dodsworth Bergschneider; his son Chuck Bergschneider; his granddaughter Cayla; his great grandchild Sloan; and his brothers, Jack Bergschneider (late Doris) and William.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Wallbaum; his children, Debbie Sadler (Bill) of Franklin, Brad Bergschneider (Lori) of Franklin, Angie Barre (Darren) of Luling, LA, Steve Bergschneider (Dee) of Holly Springs, NC and Sara Simmons (Brian) of Athens; his grandchildren, Kirstin Gebhardt (Brad), Chase Bergschneider (Cassie), Devin Bergschneider (Lindsay), Jagger Bergschneider (Emily), Paige Barre, Lucy Barre, Ellen Collopy (Justin), Clara Bergschneider, Kilyn Simmons and Keston Simmons; his great grandchildren, Blaine, Poppie, Cade, Cason, Greenley, Isla, Walker, Beckham and Meadow; and his siblings, Ed Bergschneider (late Bernice), Bob Bergschneider (Marilyn), Dick Bergschneider (Lea), Sister Rachel Bergschneider, Mary Somerset (Joe) and JoAnn Gardner (Jay). He is also survived by his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Williamson Funeral Home (1405 Lincoln Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650). A Mass will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (420 E Wyatt Ave, Franklin, IL 62638).
Memorials are suggested the Alzheimer or Dementia charities or the charity of the donor's choice.
