She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay McHugh and Verna Helen Rice Atterberry; her husband Stuart Diehl Buerkett II; and her siblings, Donald Hugh, Stephen Ray Atterberry and Nancy Sue Atterberry Miller.

She is survived by: her siblings, David Atterberry (Marla) of Coffeen and Bev Atterberry Meyer; her sister-in-law Bobbie Atterberry of Hillsboro; and her children, Bonny Fuller (Rex) of Hillsboro, Judy Thacker (Stan) of Coffeen, Michael Buerkett (Ginger) of Tampa, FL, Dyke Buerkett (Lyn) of Hillsboro, Gale Rectenwal (Greg) of Springfield and Eric Buerkett (Beth) of Springfield. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
