We bid farewell to Veronica (Cory) DeRosa of Springfield, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 21, 2025 at the age of 100. Veronica touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Cory and Mary Cory (Shaughnessy); her husband John DeRosa of Patrick's Church; her siblings, Simon, Tom, Bill Cory and Mary Blush; her son-in-law Dan "Wade" Connolly; and her grandson Cody Dunham.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bev Connolly, Rosie Camille, Janice Holycross (Greg), Nancy Rockford (Mike), Patti Dunham (Tim) and Toni Bentel (Rob); her grandchildren, Dan Connolly (Sue), Carrie Connolly (John Lisle), Kristy Camille-McKiness (Ryan McKiness), Joshua Lewison, Taylor Lewison, Haley Dutton (Jesse), Mia, Grace Bentel and Tara Zobrist (Eric); her great grandchildren, Michael Rechner, Anna, Seamus, Ella Connolly Lisle, Stella and Hannah Zobrist; and her sister Dorothy Daley.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 8:45 AM at the Church of the Little Flower (800 Adlai Stevenson Dr, Springfield, IL 62703). A Mass will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Little Flower or The Villas East of Sherman, IL.
