She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Miller and Daisy Miller (Applegate); her former husband Lloyd Peavy; her husband Bill Cody; her son Rodney Peavy; and her siblings, Richard Miller, Joyce Rhodes, Paula Perko, Martha Ketchum and Gladys Koonce.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Peavy (Janice), Grady Peavy (Carla) and Tish Messman; her grandchildren, Connor Messman, Tayler Messman and Kaylie Peavy; and her sister Mary Deatherage (Dan). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home (437 S Grand Ave W, Springfield, IL 62704). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.03/09/1941.
