She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Webster Rice and Hattie Velma Shedd (Rice). She is survived by: her children, Hattie Velma Shedd (Rice), Jessie Paul Rice, John Edward Rice, Paul Lawrence Rice, Donald Rice, Doug Martin, Raymond Joseph Rice (Betty), Michael Tyron Rice, Craig Anthony Smith (Tony) and Waleed Umar Abdul-Rahim; her grandsons, Michael Du'Juan Smith and Raymond Rice Cody; her great grandchild Kaneisha Da; her children, Phyllis Alcorn (Donny), Debra Gunn, Veronica Frazier (Willie), Theodore Laster, Wali Omar Abdul-Rahim and Khy Wajeedah Abdul-Rahim; and her sister-in-law Betty Rice (Paul). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 32 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
