He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Raymond and Noma Loyd (Dulany); and his wife Sandra K. Page. He is survived by: his children, Walter Loyd, Jr. (Lisa), Randy Loyd (Tonya) and Norma Hennessey; his grandchildren, LeeAnn Eifert (Ted), Tori Loyd (Eli) and Dakota Loyd; his siblings, Earl Loyd and Alice Garner; and his pet Colt. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
