He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Shoemaker and Esther Arnold Shoemaker; and his stepsister Mary June Garvin. He is survived by: his wife Connie Case; his children, Walter "Dale" Shoemaker, Jr. (Angela) of Divernon, Bobby Jo Martin (Joe) of Springfield, Mary Robinson (Todd) of Springfield and Michael Shoemaker (Synimin) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Andrew Robinson (Kelsey), Jacob Robinson, Ian Robinson, Joseph Martin (Abigail), Isaiah Martin, Parker, Trenton Shoemaker, Sierra, Destiny, Dylan, Brendyn and Joshua Garlo; and his great grandchildren, Brayden Robinson and Lily Behl. He is also survived by several step brothers and sisters and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
