He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornie Hemert and Johanna Van Hemert (Van Der Pol); his wife Lou; his brother Gerald Van Hemert; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Van Hemert; and his grandson Justin LaRoy Moyer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Moyer (Walt) and Joleen Booth (Jack); his grandchildren, Billy Priddy, Zachary Priddy (Rachel), Jackie Booth (Helena), Katie Kelley (Matt) and Josh Booth (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Johnny, Patrick and Jacob Priddy; his grandchildren, Cillian, Riley, Teagan Kelley and Juniper Booth; and his close friend Martha Reiter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews.
