He is survived by: his sisters, Janet Braatz (Charles) of Lansing, MI and Wilma Heineman (David) of Auburn, IL; and his children, Audrey Richards-Spitzer of Chicopee, MA and William D. Richards, Jr. of Greenfield, MA..
