She was predeceased by: her husband Noah; her sons, Lynn and Dan; her children-in-law, Gene Bartulis, David Goodwin and Carol Schmidt; and her grandson Matt Schmidt.

She is survived by: her brother Douglas Gann (Norma Jean) of Clarksville, TN; her children, Jeff Schmidt (Toby) of Staunton, IL, Kim Bartulis of Staunton, IL, Tim Schmidt (Sue) of Fairbanks and Desiree Goodwin of Staunton, IL; and her daughter-in-law Debra Schmidt (late Lynn) of Staunton, IL. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, & ten great great grandchildren.

“I have to go back quite a number of years to the time Barb (as I called her) and I were co-salespersons in the major appliance department at the Wood River Kmart. (Circa 1972-6) We worked all the busy hours together. She taught me a lot about being friendly with the customers and did we ever joke about all the unusual customers that made their way thru the front doors of that store. She still ranks as one of my favorite co-workers. My condolences to her family. Scott Luster”
