He was predeceased by : his parents, William Frederick and Carrie Brackman (Fletcher); and his siblings, William Brackman, Charles Brackman, Rose Greer Robinson, Laura Partridge and Louis Wesley Brackman.

He is survived by : his wife Viola Brackman of Staunton, IL; his children, Sue Goodson of Staunton, IL, Dennis Brackman (Barb) of Staunton, IL and Dwight Brackman (Kathy) of Staunton, IL; his grandchildren, Eric Goodson of St. Louis, MO, Amy Zuhl (Carl) of Schereville, IN, Abby Brackman of Glen Carbon, IL, Emily Paul (Harry) of Staunton, IL, Adam Brackman (Emily) of St. Louis, MO, Carrie Fenton (Ian) of Mt. Olive, IL, Bethany Kokorudz (Nathan) of Wood River, IL and Aaron Brackman (LeAmber) of Jefferson, GA; his great grandchildren, Henry, Atticus, Silas Paul, Jessica Goodson Feldman, Jacob Goodson, Cole, Carter, Cruz, Cash Fenton, Caleb, Gavin, Owen, Baylor Brackman, Everly and Everett Kokorudz; and his great great grandchildren, Patrick and Presley Feldman.
