He is survived by: his children, Emil Zimmerman Jr. of Staunton, IL and Christine Foster (Louis) of Staunton, IL; his grandchildren, David Zimmerman (Sarah) of Grafton, IL, Rachel Zimmerman of St. Louis, MO, Andrew Foster (Claudia) of Gulf Breeze, FL and Ashley Seketa (Bradley) of Staunton, IL; and his siblings, Paul Zimmerman (Betty) of Staunton, IL, Ron Zimmerman (Sherrel) of Cape Girardeau, MO, Tina Brubaker (Jim) of Pueblo West, CO and Lucy Bell of Collinsville, IL.. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
