It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Ann Rantanen of Staunton, Illinois, who passed away on February 25, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Thomas and Maxine Decker (Helton); her brother Ray Decker; and her daughter-in-law Mary Rantanen. She is survived by: her husband Dale Rantanen of Staunton, IL; her sons, Reginald Rantanen of White Hall, IL, Mark Rantanen (Angela) of Bluffton, SC, Daniel Rantanen (Michelle) of Staunton, IL and Joshua Rantanen (Missy) of Staunton, IL; her grandchildren, Carson (Alexa), Drake, Hunter, Ethan, Claire, Isaac, Presley and Wolfgang; her siblings, Jane Holcomb, Connie Larson (Jim) and Joe Decker (Jean); and her sister-in-law Betty Decker. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins.
