He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Laughlin and Virginia Heyen Laughlin; and his brother Roger Laughlin. He is survived by: his wife Susan Laughlin of Staunton, IL; his children, Jessica Kozak (Joshua) of Gillespie, IL, Spencer Laughlin of Benld, IL and Morgan Laughlin of Staunton, IL; his grandson Logan Belcher; his sister Kathleen Rondi (Jerry) of Mt. Clare, IL; and his sister-in-law Vicki Laughlin of Benld, IL..
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Gillespie Methodist Church (900 Broadway St, Gillespie, IL 62033).
