With sadness, we share the passing of Robert L. Heaton of Staunton, Illinois. Robert, born on June 13, 1936, passed away on July 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Robert for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence A. Heaton and Ardis Virginia Heaton (Hatfield); and his brother Lawrence Heaton. He is survived by: his son Christopher R. Heaton; his sister Joyce Bradshaw (Larry Wayne); his nephew Scott Steven Janssen; and his sister-in-law Karen Heaton.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ropers Regal Beagle (3043 Godfrey Rd, Godfrey, IL 62035).
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
