He is survived by: his children, Scott Lappe of New Athens, IL, Karrie Quigley (Rick) of New Athens, IL and Shelly Shevlin (Kenneth) of Freeburg, IL; his grandchildren, Joshua Swan (Catherine) of Dallas, TX, Chelsea, Ezekiel, Jacob Lappe of Adair, OK, Cameron Lappe (Kalee) of St. Louis, MO, Derrick Quigley of St. Louis, MO, Sarah Leonard (Andrew) of Chatham, IL, Kayla Lappe of California and Owen Lappe of Waterloo, IL; his great grandchildren, Jason, Elena, Isabelle Swan and Ellison Leonard; and his siblings, JoHanna Lynn, Evleyn Cortner, Wilson Lappe, Helen Hulvey, Richard Lappe, Dale Lappe, John Lappe, Dorothy Higgin, Dennis Lappe and Margie Timmermann.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church – West Point (1699 E Westpoint Rd, Campbell Hill, IL 62916). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
