Donna Eggemeyer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 11, 2025, at the age of 80, Donna Eggemeyer of Steeleville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman C. Johnson and Verna E. Johnson (Tucker); her spouse Merle Lee Eggemeyer; her siblings, Gladys Asher, Virgil Johnson, Levon Johnson and Paul Johnson; her son-in-law James C. Buck III; and her grandson Fredric G. "Eric" Hutchinson, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Betty Hutchinson (Fred) of Perryville, Missouri, Carol Jirel (Lee) of Chapin, Annette Morwick (Rodney) of Fults, Illinois and Doris Mehrer (Allen) of Monroe City, Missouri; her grandchildren, Joey Hutchinson, Bobby Jirel, Nathan Mehrer, Evan Jirel, Adrian Mehrer, Megan Morwick and Katie Morwick; her great grandchild Damon Hutchinson; her sister Virgie Byrd of Bunker Hill; and her sisters-in-law, Jeanne Johnson of Red Bud and Wanda Davis Cook of Kansas City. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and special card playing friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wilson's Funeral Home (509 W Illinois St, Steeleville, IL 62288). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In leiu of flowers and to honor her memory donations may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund or Shriners Children's Hospital of St. Louis.
