She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Joseph and Selma D. Bert; her husband Melvin "Mel" Gross; and her siblings, Gerald Bert, Andy Bert, Jr. (Elsie) and Verdelle Meyer (Walter).
She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Miles III (Raymond R.); her grandchildren, Derek Cleland (Jamie Scheidecker), Brett Cleland (Dina Roberts) and Ryan Cleland (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Chloe Yates, Logan Cleland, Brayden Cleland, Kendall Cleland, Collins Cleland and Noah Cleland; and her sister-in-law Carolyn.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pechacek Funeral Homes - Chester (839 Lehmen Dr, Chester, IL 62233). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
