He is survived by: his daughter Shannon Rubach (Todd) of Steeleville, IL; his granddaughter Kaelyn Rubach; and his sisters, Susie Wilson (Bob) of Sparta, IL, Linda DeSpain (Roy) of Coulterville, IL and Heather June Hubler of Pinckneyville, IL..

“My 12 yrs. of school with Carl (as we knew him in grade-school, St. Bruno and P.C.H.S.) I never really got to know him well. However, at a class reunion, we spoke like we were old buddies and it made me happy to see this quiet, young man had grown into such a great individual! May the good and gracious Lord show him the path to eternity, that we all hope to take, and we will once again be old buddies!! Rest in Peace Carl!!”
